What is a beta reader?

Beta readers read an early version of an unreleased manuscript (a beta version). This manuscript may have typos or some other issues, but is usually close to a finished draft. Beta readers help the author by providing feedback on what works, what doesn’t, and any specific areas where the author can improve the story. You will be provided with survey questions to help guide your feedback.

While there is no compensation, beta readers who complete a review will be included in the author’s acknowledgments when the book is released.
